Heb. 1:1-2
|
In times past, God spoke to the fathers by the prophets (Old Testament).
But in these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son (New Testament).

Heb. 4:12
|
The word of God is living and powerful. It is sharper than any
two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of joints and marrow.
It is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Rom. 1:16

The gospel is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes
(cf. 1 Cor. 1:18).

We are called by the gospel (2 Th. 2:14). And we must be obedient
to the gospel (2 Th. 1:8).

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God. It is profitable
for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction, that the man
of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
God's word reveals everything we need to know to be saved and godly
(2 Pet. 1:3; 2 Tim. 3:16-17).
God is not the author of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33). His word is
the truth (Jn. 17:17; Ps. 119:160) in which there are no contradictions.

The Holy Spirit guided the apostles into all truth; therefore,
all truth has been revealed (cf. 2 Pet. 1:2-3).

The gospel contains everything we need to know pertaining to life
and godliness (cf. 1 Cor. 6:11; Eph. 5:26; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Tit.
