2 Th. 2:14

We are called by the gospel.

We must be obedient to the gospel (2 Th. 1:8). We are commanded not to think beyond what is written in God's word (1 Cor. 4:6). Therefore, we cannot be obedient to any call other than the gospel (cf. Gal. 1:8).

1 Pet. 2:9

God calls us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Christians have been delivered from the power of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of Christ (Col. 1:13).

1 Cor. 1:26

Not many wise are called by the gospel. The message is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is the power of God to those who are being saved (1 Cor. 1:18).

A person cannot know God through human wisdom. Therefore, those who believe are saved (1 Cor. 1:21).

Eph. 4:1-4

There is one calling and therefore one hope.

Eph. 4:1; 1 Th. 2:12

We must have a walk of life worthy of God who calls us into His own kingdom and glory.

Phil. 3:14

We must press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

2 Pet. 1:10

We must be diligent to make our calling and election sure.
