Christ instituted the Lord's Supper.

Acts 20:27

We partake of the Lord's Supper on the first day of the week (i.e., Sunday). We are not authorized to partake of the Lord's Supper on any other day.

1 Cor. 11:26

In partaking of the Lord's Supper, we proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.

1 Cor. 11:27-29

Whoever partakes of the Lord's Supper in an unworthy manner (i.e., not discerning the Lord's body), will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

1 Cor. 11:30

Improper observance of the Lord's Supper results in spiritual illness and sleep.
