The only lawful reason that a person may divorce and remarry is
if his mate is guilty of sexual immorality (cf. Matt. 19:1-12; Mk.
10:1-12; Lk. 16:18).

If a couple separates (i.e., they divorce for a reason other than
sexual immorality or separate without a divorce), they must remain
unmarried or be reconciled.
