1 Jn. 4:8

God is love. People who do not love God, their brother, and their fellowman are not of God.

Jn. 3:16

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (i.e., Jesus). Whoever believes in Jesus should not perish but have everlasting life.

Jesus became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him (Heb. 5:9). If we love Jesus, we will keep His commandments (Jn. 14:15; 15:10).

1 Jn. 4:9

The love of God was manifested toward us. He sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him.

1 Jn. 4:17-18

We have boldness in judgment if we love God. Perfect love casts out fear.

1 Jn. 4:19

We love God because He first loved us.

1 Jn. 5:3

If we love God, we will keep His commandments and His commandments will not be burdensome.
