Holy Spirit
Bible study on the Holy Spirit.

Lk. 11:20; Matt. 12:28

The Holy Spirit is the finger of God (cf. Ex. 8:19; 31:18; Deut. 9:10; Ps. 8:3).

Acts 13:2-4

The Holy Spirit is a separate, living, and intelligent Being apart from the Father and Son.

Gen. 1:2

Though a separate Person, the Holy Spirit is one with the Father.

The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of God (Gen. 1:2; 41:38; Num. 24:2), His Spirit (Num. 11:29; Job 26:13; Ps. 106:33), Holy Spirit (Ps. 51:11; Jn. 7:39), Spirit of the Lord (Jud. 3:10; 6:34; 1 Sam. 10:6; Is. 61:1), My Spirit (Gen. 6:3; Joel 2:28, 29), Your Spirit (Ps. 104:30; 139:7), the hand of the Lord (1 Ki. 18:46; Eze. 1:3; 3:22; 37:1), Helper (or Comforter; Jn. 14:16, 26; 15:26), Spirit (1 Cor. 12:4; Eph. 4:4; 5:18), Spirit of truth (Jn. 14:17; 15:26), the finger of God (Lk. 11:20; cf. Matt. 12:28).

Gen. 1:1-2; 3:22

The Holy Spirit was at work in creation; therefore, the Holy Spirit is Deity (cf. Gen. 1:26; Job 26:13-14; 33:4; Ps. 8:3; 104:30).

Matt. 28:19

One of the names that we are baptized in is the name of the Holy Spirit; therefore, the Holy Spirit is Deity.
