Restoring an Erring Christian
Bible study on restoring an erring Christian.

Matt. 18:15-20

If a brother sins against us, we should go to him and tell him his fault. If he will not hear us, we should take one or two Christians and revisit him. If he refuses to hear them, we should take it to the church.

Gal. 6:1

Restore a brother in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you are also tempted.

Acts 8:22-24; 1 Jn. 1:9

A Christian is restored by repentance, prayer, and confession.

1 Jn. 2:1-2

Christ is our Advocate with the Father when we sin.

1 Cor. 5:5

Churches exercise discipline to restore a brother (cf. 1 Tim. 1:20).

Jas. 5:14-16

We must confess our trespasses to one another and pray for one another.

Jas. 5:19-20

If someone turns an erring brother back to the Lord, he has saved a soul from death.
